Sponsorship & Disclosure Policy

Last updated November 2, 2026

VA Headlines is an independent watchdog desk. We publish only from official government records: VA Office of Inspector General reports, GAO, the Office of Special Counsel, congressional hearing records, the Federal Register, Justice Department and court filings, FOIA releases and VA directives. This page explains how we handle money so readers can trust the reporting.

Sponsors never influence reporting

No sponsor, supporter or advertiser can choose, change, delay, soften or remove any story, headline or report. Sponsors do not see our work before it is published. If a sponsor appears in an official record we cover, we report it the same way we report everyone else, and we note the relationship.

Every sponsored placement is labeled

All sponsored content and placements carry a visible label that reads "Sponsored by [Name]". We never hide or blend paid placements into our news.

Sponsors are kept separate from fraud reports

We do not place sponsorships on, inside or next to our fraud case reports or the VA fraud case tracker. Those pages carry no sponsor placements.

Advertising

Any display ads on this site are served by an outside ad network. Ad placement is automated, and advertisers have no say over our content.

Reader support

Readers can support independent VA oversight through our Support page. VA Headlines is published by Fin Martinez LLC, a for-profit company, not a nonprofit or charity. Support payments are not charitable gifts and cannot be deducted as charity. Supporters receive no influence over coverage.
